Heart Care by RK is a specialist private cardiac clinic founded by me, Dr. Rahim Kanji. I am an experienced Consultant Cardiologist, dedicated to providing exceptional care to all my patients.
Experience and Expertise
In addition to running this clinic, I also serve within the NHS at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust and Hammersmith Hospital, part of the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. At Chelsea and Westminster, I offer comprehensive general cardiology care, addressing issues like shortness of breath due to heart failure, palpitations from arrhythmia, hypertension, hypercholesterolaemia, and chest pain related to heart attacks and angina.

When it comes to chest pain and heart attacks, I am particularly specialised in investigating and treating these conditions using non-invasive tests, invasive angiography, and angioplasty with balloons and stents. I utilise the latest technologies, including intravascular imaging, to ensure the most effective, personalised treatment. My commitment to innovation has led to my role as the lead of the digital chest pain pathway, contributing to the low mortality rate at Chelsea and Westminster.

My ability to provide top-tier care stems from my world-class training. I hold a BSc. in Endocrinology and a medical degree from Imperial College London, where I graduated with distinction. My post-graduate training and cardiology specialist training were completed at the prestigious London - Imperial Deanery.

I also hold a PhD in the risk stratification of patients with heart attacks and aortic stenosis from the National Heart and Lung Institute at Imperial College London. My research in antiplatelet therapy and thrombosis management has been published in high-impact journals.

Dr Kanji saw my elderly mother with me in July at the West Middx Hospital. The consultation was one of the best I have ever been party too and I am extremely grateful to him.
